2017 ANNUAL HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER!
Every dog and every cat deserves to enjoy the cheer of the season even if they are not cherished family pets.
Romanian homeless animals are among the worst treated in the world.
Let's help them have a fun and warm holiday season this year.
This holiday season we want to help 5 rescue associations from Romania who do wonderful work for the homeless cats and dogs.
Here are the associations we chose:
- Street Dogs Saving Mission Bacau
- Blanche House Cat Sanctuary
- Antonia Save Animals
- Care For Dogs Romania
- Volunteer Hearts & Homes
Thank you!
THE SMALLEST ADOPTION FEE EVER!
Regional Veterinary Center District 2 Bucharest is one of the rare public shelters in Romania where dogs are treated right.
The shelter functions based on Local Council Decision 119 from October 16th, 2013 which allows regular citizens to long distance adopt for a very small fee of less thant $20 per month. All the dogs at the center are spayed/neutered, vaccinated yearly (or as needed), microchipped and registered with RECS (Romanian Pet Electronic Register).
Please adopt one or two dogs. It's easy and it's affordable. The adoption fee covers:
- food for one dog for one month
- vaccination
- spay/neuter
- medication if needed
- shelter
Thank you!
BE A HERO FOR BACAU'S DOGS!
Bacau city has a population of over 4000 homeless dogs and an unknown number of cats. The state shelter is overcrowded with roughly 2000 dogs at any given time and they euthanize them after two weeks if they are not adopted. The adoption offers never keep up with the need, so a lot of dogs end up being killed inhumanely.
Street Dogs Saving Mission Bacau will build a no-kill shelter and will provide a refuge to abandoned, abused and homeless animals. The main focus will be special needs animals that nobody wants. Donations are tax deductible for US donors and you can find out more and contribute by visiting www.happystreetdogs.com
Let’s amaze the dogs of Bacau and help
Street Dogs Saving Mission build a shelter for them.
Thank you!
- 960.96 square meters land
- 15 kennels of 16.5 square meters each
- 75 dogs maximum occupancy
- secure food storage and restroom
- security and safety for dogs and staff (the plan includes a sturdy fence and CCTV surveillance)
DOGS WITHOUT BORDER

Besides empowering and educating local rescuers, we are facilitating the adoption and transportation of Romanian dogs by American families. Romania has a surplus of homeless dogs that live in areas of high risk for abuse.

THE FORGOTTEN DOGS OF ROMANIA
Release date: Christmas 2017
Stay tuned for the documentary "The Forgotten Dogs Of Romania". We want to bring to life the stories of the Romanian stray animals and the wonderful, yet demonized people who rescue them. We will talk about what the state is doing about it (or rather not doing about it) and the hurdles the rescuers go though. Thank you for your support!
