Mission Statement

Dog in the public shelter
Dog in the public shelter

We are a group of professionals located all over the world who use their skills and talents to help and empower animal rescuers. More often than not rescuers have a hard time raising the funds they need to take care of the rescued animals and they don't know how to promote their work. This is where we can help. So far we worked preponderantly with rescuers from Romania, but we are open to helping rescuers from other locations as well. We are offering the following services at no cost to the rescuers:

We are constantly on the lookout for talented fundraising coordinators, social media coordinators, designers, art directors, developers, video editors, anyone who wants to volunteer their services to help rescuers. If you want to offer your services, please contact us here.

Our Story

Voice For The Needy, Inc came to life in 2012 when the founder Daniela Popescu decided that it's time to do something about the tragic situation of stray animals in her native country Romania.

Unfortunately Romanian authorities promote the savage catching and cruel killing of stray animals, and reward the people who do so. Voice For The Needy's mission is to change this mentality by showing that there are people who care about the less fortunate and the needy. Our work is most stringent and we urge people to get involved and donate time, money, services, etc.

Besides helping and empowering Romanian rescuers, we also work on raising awareness on the tragic situation of animals in Romania and we strive to educate and change the mentality in Romania. We have to educate the future generations to respect and love man’s best friend by initiating social programs to promote compassion toward stray animals.

If you want to put your talents to good use and help save countless lives of animals, please visit our page Volunteer Opportunities.

Work in US

Voice For The Needy is located in Los Angeles, CA, United States. We strive to help as much as we can the local rescuers and we donate a minimum of 20% of our proceeds to american charities and shelters. These are the charities we endorse and support:

Too often the world is cruel for those left to fend for themselves such as homeless cats and dogs, abused horses, laboratory animals, and the list goes on endlessly. Voice For The Needy, Inc. hopes to change that one stray animal at a time.
